How does it work for sending encounter summaries to the patient’s primary care provider?

When a patient creates their profile, they have the option of selecting their family doctor and clinic from a list provided by QDoc. At the start of every encounter through QDoc, they are asked whether they want a copy of this encounter sent to their primary care provider (PCP). If they select Yes, then a copy of the Encounter Summary (automatically generated with each encounter) is faxed to the clinic selected in the patient’s profile. 

If the patient did not select a doctor/clinic when creating their profile but said that they do want a copy sent to their PCP, the QDoctor can select ‘Edit Patient Info’ during the encounter to add the family doctor/clinic.
