How our QDoctors Can Help
Write Prescriptions
Once you have been seen, our medical doctors can prescribe non-controlled medications suitable for your treatment within the proper practice guidelines. Our virtual doctors in Manitoba cannot prescribe the following controlled medications due to virtual health guidelines.
If you need the following medications, please contact your family doctor or an in-person health facility:
Opioids
- morphine, hydromorphone, fentanyl, oxycodone, codeine, tramadol, or methadone.
Medications that contain these drugs
- Tylenol #3s, Tramacet, Percocet, Suboxone, etc.
Benzodiazepines
- lorazepam (Ativan), diazepam (Valium), etc.
Z-Drugs
- zopiclone (Imovane) or zolpidem (Sublinox).
Cannabis
Once your prescription is confirmed, you can request that your doctor sends it to your preferred pharmacy. They will then send it to be filled. However, please note that QDoc will not contact you when the prescription is ready for pickup. You can call your pharmacy to inquire about its status or wait for them to contact you.
Order Lab Requisitions
Our QDoctors can order lab tests for you, and you can take the requisition to the lab of your choice. The requisition will be sent to your patient profile, where you can view it and print it without leaving the comfort of your home.
No printer? No problem! You can contact our administration phone line, and we will be happy to send it to the lab of your choice.
After your lab tests are completed and reviewed, you can access the results through the “view results” feature on your patient card. To ensure privacy, you will need to enter the verification code sent to your phone before accessing the results.
