Arvind Hastir
Dr. Hastir is a family physician working out of Beausejour, MB. He has worked as an Emergency Physician/ Hospitalist at Beausejour Hospital for over 5 years. His interests include comprehensive family practice with special focus on geriatric care and also his love for Emergency Medicine.

Anna Schwartz
Dr. Schwartz is a family physician at East Borderland, Buffalo Point, and Cross Lake Nursing Station. Dr. Schwartz also works as a House Medical Officer at Misericordia Health Centre and Health Sciences Centre.

Cael Enns
Family Physician working in Rural Manitoba with a primary focus in Emergency Medicine and Acute Care. Roles also include urgent care/walk-in, family practice clinic, and seeing patients from all age groups and backgrounds.

Daniel Parmar
Dr. Parmar is a Medical Officer with the Department of National Defence (DND) at Canadian Forces Base Winnipeg. He is passionate about medicine, health professional education, and how it pertains to the development of a new generation of healthcare professionals in Canada.
Prior to working in Winnipeg, Dr. Parmar completed his Master of Education degree at the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) – ranked Canada’s #1 educational institute and top 20 globally. He is passionate about learning, mentorship, healthcare, education pertaining to the professions, and the effects of internationalization and globalization on healthcare and higher education.

Frank Stockl
Dr. Stockl is an ophthalmologist in Winnipeg, Brandon, and Kenora with a special focus on medical and surgical retinal conditions. Dr. Stockl is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba in the Department of Ophthalmology.

John Neufeld
Dr. John Neufeld is a CCFM with a passion for Emergency Medicine, after graduating from the University of Manitoba in 2013, Dr. Neufeld has practiced in multiple emergency rooms in the province, as well as in Ontatio. He also currently serves as Fisher Ambulance Service’s Medical Director.

Kelby Cleverley
Dr. Cleverley is a family physician practicing in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After finishing medical school at the University of Manitoba she completed her family medicine residency in Calgary. She then completed enhanced skills training in Women’s Health and Obstetrics at Western University in London. Her interests include women’s health, obstetrics, breastfeeding medicine and comprehensive family practice.

Lynette Badenhorst
I am a general practitioner with extensive experience in dealing with the effects of ageing on patients and their care givers. My clinical interest in Geriatrics evolved into the specific care of dementia and other neurologic diseases, including chronic pain.
My approach is holistic, and I often do a medication review with patients when we review their diagnoses. I enjoy sharing information with patients and maintain a Facebook page where I share interesting items.

Marilyn Raizen
Pediatric emergency physician with an interest in urgent care medicine and patient advocacy. Her goal is to give expert real time advice and care when you need it. She is an expert contributor for the Medical Council of Canada for both Canadian medical licensing examinations and foreign trained medical students’ examinations.

Marsha Giesbrecht
Dr. Giesbrecht is a family physician in rural community hospitals within the Prairie Mountain Health region. Dr. Giesbrecht is also an Emergency Room Physician at the Brandon Regional Hospital.

Norman Silver
Pediatric emergency physician with an interest in pediatric dermatology, neonatology and pediatric sports.

Noam Katz
Dr. Noam Katz works primarily in the St. Boniface emergency department, while also spending time in the emergency department in Gimli, MB, as well as The Minor Injury and Illness Clinic. He completed additional training in Resuscitation medicine and his interests include acute care medicine, ultrasound diagnostics/procedures and improving efficiencies within healthcare.

Phoebe Thiessen
Dr Thiessen did her medical training in Winnipeg, graduating with her MD in 2016. Then completed a residency in Northern Manitoba in Family Medicine in 2018. Since that time, she has been working in Selkirk providing full scope family medicine practice as well as providing coverage for low-risk deliveries at the Selkirk Regional Health Center. When she isn’t working you can find Dr Thiessen, outside walking or paddle boarding with her partner in the summer and building snow forts with her nieces and nephews in the winter.

Scott Sawyer
Pediatric Emergency physician with an interest in pediatric injuries and pediatric sports medicine. Dr. Sawyer practices at Children’s Hospital, the Pan Am Clinic and The Minor Illness & Injury Clinic in Winnipeg and is a researcher with the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba.

Taft Micks
Dr. Taft Micks completed his medical degree at the University of Ottawa in 2014 before traveling to Newfoundland to become a licensed family physician through Memorial University in 2016. He then completed his Emergency Medicine fellowship at the University of Manitoba in Brandon, Manitoba in 2017.
He practices Emergency Medicine at the Brandon Regional Health Center where he also serves as site lead for the Emergency Medicine residency program. He has a special interest in point-of-care ultrasound training and is a Canadian leader for research in this area in Family Medicine. His other interests include penicillin allergy de-labelling for which he started a clinic in Brandon and in Winnipeg (https://www.penallergy.com/) for anyone requiring urgent allergy testing. He is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Practical Dermatology through Cardiff University in Wales, United Kingdom and provides sports medicine coverage to the Brandon Wheat Kings.
