If you miss your connection from the waiting list or same day appointment, there is no charge, just start a new visit to re-enter the live queue. However, if you miss your follow-up or consult appointment, or you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, you are subject to a $70 late cancellation fee. Can I use my health insurance?
Patient Support Billing and Insurance Can I use my health insurance? At the moment, QDoc only accepts MSH as a private insurance payor. Patients with alternate private insurance will need to be reimbursed by their health insurance provider after paying the invoice. We are working towards adding more private health insurance providers to our system, so please check back with us soon. Similar Resources
What are my payment options?
Patient Support Billing and Insurance What are my payment options? The majority of patients are able to see a provider through QDoc for free by billing Manitoba Health for their visit, just like any in-person clinic. The few patients who are not eligible for the free service (i.e. patients who are Quebec residents, who don’t have a provincial health card, or who are international visitors) will be prompted to enter their credit card information prior to joining the QDoc waitlist for a preauthorization of up to $90. Their credit card will only be charged, either $90 if connected with a doctor or $50 if connected with a nurse practitioner, after their visit with a provider has been successfully completed.
