Am I responsible for follow-ups after I order labs or diagnostic imaging for a patient?
Provider Support Prescriptions, Labs, and Diagnostics Am I responsible for follow-ups after I order labs or diagnostic imaging for a patient? Yes – as a patient’s results come in, you will receive a notification that results are ready for review. While you are reviewing the results, you can type a comment for the patient, letting them know the results are normal or that you will contact them shortly for a follow-up. The patient will receive this comment in a text message notifying them that their results are ready. They cannot see the results until they have been marked as reviewed from the provider’s side. If the results are not normal, you will create a Manual Encounter and phone the patient to discuss their results and any treatment plan that you deem necessary. Similar Resources
