How It Works

QDoc uses a custom algorithm that connects you to a physician to help with your needs. Our software is PHIA and HIPAA-secured, with end-to-end encryption and two-factor authentications to ensure your health information is safe and secure, and only visible to you. The team at QDoc has developed a software that allows patients to be connected to doctors for virtual video appointments. This service is free for Canadian residents with a Manitoba Health Card. 

Virtual Healthcare

Virtual Healthcare saves time for both you and the doctors. QDoc offers a wide range of services and assistance through dedicated Manitoban QDoctors. From prescribing non-controlled medications, ordering lab tests, providing sick notes, and referring you to in-person care, QDoctors give you access to the care you need, all from the comfort of your home. 

QDoc Virtual Platform

Whenever a patient enters the queue, the most appropriate doctors receive a text notification that there is a patient to be seen. If no doctor responds to this message after a period of time, the search is escalated, and more doctors are notified. The first doctor will review your chart and is then connected directly to you for an online audio-video appointment.

Seeing a Doctor Online

To be connected to a doctor, you need to create a secure account using your email address and a password. After this, you can create a patient card using your first and last name, your date of birth, and your health card information. Once your information has been saved, you simply have to click the “Start Visit” button on your card to be placed in the queue.

QDoc is a FREE virtual healthcare service, covered by provincial healthcare. Quebec and Canadian residents who do not have a provincial health card are able to use the service but may be billed for their visit.

We want everyone to be able to access healthcare, any day of the week. We understand that there are a large variety of accessibility or lifestyle barriers that can’t always get you in-person help, and this is where QDoc comes in to assist in this gap.

Create Account

Register your QDoc account with a valid email and password. Once you have registered an account, you may create a patient profile for yourself or your family members.

Join The Queue

Once you click “start visit” you will be added to our queue. When a doctor is getting ready you will receive a text on your cell phone. You will then be connected to a local doctor!

Treatment

Begin your treatment plan with our doctor and afterwards access your encounter summaries, referrals, lab requisitions and other documents, all through your profile.
